It was a very beautiful, very intimate, very special wedding. Milliliters and milliliters of rain came down the night before and on the day, the wind was violent, the clouds were dark and moody, the river came to the steps of Olive Rock to play and all of this added an effervescent atmosphere to this funky couples wedding day. The sun came out for the photo’s and they had so much fun.
Donna made an extremely beautiful bride and her dress was made by a very talented student designer. Our waiters couldn’t stop talking about how stunning the dress was. The groom looked like prince charming from a fairy-tale. I have added a few pictures down below of their day – pictures by Kate Mc Luckie , as well as a thank you email that Donna sent me this week. Im always so blown away by the special thanks we get from our couples, it means so much to us and it most certainly keeps the wind beneath our wings!
“I just wanted to send you a mail to thank you and Nick for all that you did to make our wedding day so special. It couldn’t have turned out more perfectly.
So many of my guests told me that they thought it was one of the best venues they had been to and I think something one of them said to me summed it up so perfectly: he said that it seems as though you and Nick really love what you do and that really comes across in everything from the way you handled the evening (as well as the morning of, after the storm rearranged some of the tent poles and decor) to the food.
All the best for you and the future of your business; I know we will certainly recommend Olive Rock to any potential brides and grooms.
Much love, Donna”
