Named after the enchanting book ‘The Olive Tree and The Rock’, Olive Rock is founded on a heart-warming story of hope and unconditional love. It’s from this tale that we draw our inspiration for the concept, design and care of Olive Rock to this day.
Owners Nick and Simone Stanford personally oversee the management of every function at Olive Rock. Married on the farm itself, Nick and Simone have an intimate knowledge of the area and what is required to make sure your special event is everything you expected and more.
With eight years’ experience in customer services at a charter air business, Simone has dealt with numerous celebrities, dignitaries and entrepreneurs. Six years in event planning have also honed her remarkable calmness, patience and eagerness to please.
Trained by David Higgs and Wynand Du Plessis in 2003, Nick gained valuable experience for two years in London before starting his own catering operation in South Africa. Food has always been his passion, and after five years of outside catering, Nick took his
exceptional skills to the kitchen at Olive Rock.
