Inspiration has been drawn from many energetic sources to create a venue that is versatile, unique, beautiful and functional. The project has been a renovation, a revelation and a rehabilitation of old disused structures along the banks of the Breede River. The functionality of the venue has been derived from our vast experience in the industry. This has been coupled with a French country style to create a canvas to pour your dreams into.

The name ‘Olive Rock’ is derived from a story book called ‘The Olive Tree and The Rock’ written by Phoebe Elizabeth Stanford a World War II veteran, mom, philosopher and our adored granny.

One need only read the story to understand why we used it to name the venue. The story is written in simple language so that children can understand that life is more than the things you own; it is about relationships and building those relationships on a solid footing and pouring everything you have into it. This is why Olive Rock has been conceived, built, and now used to create memories to develop relationships and leave a lasting legacy.
